Mowing Height

Choosing the correct cutting height is critical. Cutting your grass too short will lead to browning and making the grass vulnerable to disease. Longer grass will develop deeper roots and help the grass with water and nutrients from the soil. Cutting grass too long will crowd and lead to mold. The time of the year is important in determining the height of your grass. In dry summer months, keeping a lawn longer will help against the hot summer sun. As it gets cooler and damp, a shorter cut works best. These are all based on the type of grass that is being cut.
